This was about 20 minutes ago. Help me figure this out.
Here are the symptoms:
Engine cuts out while driving
Radio doesnt cut out
Hvac doesnt cut out
Interior lights doesnt cut out
Exterior lights doesnt cut out
Tach reads 0
Takes 30-60 seconds to start up again.
Im thinkin this is a fuel system issue. What about you Oppo?
Heres a video of me trying to restart it:
About 15 seconds after I stopped filming she started up again.

Yeah could be fuel. I only know old cars, I had an issue where the tank screen was bad, my Merc has like three stages of fuel filtration. My diesel has the primer hand pump so it would only start if I did that and forced it. New screen fixed it.

Mine did that for a while after my dad got it, and we ended up replacing all the filters. The problem wasn’t solved until we replaced the fuel pressure regulator though, and that isn’t too hard or expensive.

On a hunch, I just went out and tested the inertia switch. My truck is pretty messy right now, I went and started the truck then hit the switch with a plastic flashlight. Sure enough the truck shut off, pretty sure thats it. I wont know for sure until it happens again though. If it does, Im immediately looking at it to see if it was tripped. I bet something in the passenger footwell hit it and tripped it. I probably should clean my truck, but I wanna test my theory.

Occam’s razor usually proves true, so that sounds good. Also, I saw your previous post about clutch issues. Mine does the same exact thing, and I’d have to agree with the bubble in the line theory. Unfortunately for you, I’ve read that the only surefire way to bleed the system is a bench bleed, and that’s a pain in the ass. It might be something I would consider taking to a mechanic for, just so you don’t have to crawl around and wrestle a transmission to get to.

A new switch is like $40, less with my discount at Oreillys. And I have a friend with a full service garage, lift, transmission jack and all. Im gonna bleed my clutch there sometime in the next month or so
